Landscape Photography, Darkroom Techniques
This book has a winning format. Each of twenty landscape photographs are analysed in detail covering the final print, alternative images that did not work and therefore discarded, image notes, camera work, film processing, print exposure and processing.
The emphasis is on expressive printing, a style that Ephraums became known for. For each print the reader is taken on a journey of Ephraum's thought process and decisions.
The book also has a technical section covering equipment, materials, processing and printing, and a formulary.
All in all it would be hard to imagine a better book on the craft of film photography.
